Kettle-hat, XIII c.
The helm was made on the base of Maciejowski Bible (France, c. 1250). The helms of this type also known as "chapel-de-fer" were widely presented from the end of XII to XIV c. and were popular among the common soldiers. The simplicity and cheapness of the manufacturing of kettle-hats gave the ability to produce them in large quantities.
This kettle-hat was made look old using the appropriate technology of reshaping the metal's surface in the old style.
Made in 2006.
